The Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology in the Department of Medicine at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School is seeking two qualified faculty candidates in Liver Diseases at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.

The first position will focus on clinical hepatology in the outpatient setting and service in GI/hepatology in the inpatient setting. Faculty candidates must have completed GI fellowship by the time of starting the faculty position, must be proficient in endoscopy/colonoscopy/liver biopsies, and must be GI board certified/eligible. The position will involve all aspects of hepatology-viral hepatitis, NASH, liver cancer, complications of end-stage liver disease and other hepatobiliary diseases.

The second position will focus on research-based methodologies, either in a laboratory setting pursuing fibrosis mechanisms or hepatocarcinogenesis, or in outcomes research, particularly in NAFLD/NASH. Funding support is available.
