Responsibilities:
The Business Operations Analyst is a member of a team that provides reporting, analytics and insights to our operations across multiple divisions.
The analyst will be a key team member enabling Performant to provide stronger results to our clients and operate efficiently to drive optimal financial results.
This position makes an impact through the design, querying and presentation of data and analytics to business stakeholders across the organization.
The team is a relatively flat structure with exposure to all levels of management withinin Performant.

• Performs analysis as required to support business decisions regarding operational processes, technology solutions and outside vendors.
• Develops ad-hoc and recurring reports, queries and presentations based upon business need through direct request or guidance, as well as independent identification of areas of opportunity.
Reviews and analyzes data, and may make recommendations as appropriate.
• Collaborates with team members across the organization to accomplish analytical goals.
• Presents results from large and/or complex data sets in a coherent and clear format, tailored for the audience as appropriate. 
• Builds core analytics processes and tools that can be leveraged in trending and forecasting multiple business lines.
• Perform other incidentals and related duties as required and assigned.
 
Required Skills and Knowledge:
• Gets excited at the idea of working with data to drive decisions. Not afraid to get “into the weeds” in data sets as necessary.
• Sharp problem solving skills and analytical ability.
• Ability to produce results and maintain positive attitude in fast paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong system skills with ability to quickly develop expertise in new systems and applications.
• Knowledge of, or demonstrated ability to learn data systems, data management, manipulation of large data sets and statistical techniques. 
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Able to work extended hours during critical project phases.
• Advanced skills in Excel, Access and/or other data analysis applications.
• Working knowledge of SQL.
• Familiarity with statistics and other mathematical techniques a plus.
• Team Player – collaborates effectively within the department and cross functionally.
 
Physical Requirements
• Sit/stand/walk/8-10hr/day.
• Use of computer at least 80% of the time.
• Communicates on the phone as needed.
• Lift/carry/push/pull under and over 10lbs occasionally.
• Keying frequency, handling, reaching, fine manipulation.
 
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field and minimum of 1 year of experience in similar role, or equivalent combination of education and commensurate relevant experience.
• A self-starter with experience developing reports or analytic queries directly with back-end databases.
• Experience with techniques for manipulation and analysis of very large data sets.


Other Requirements
- Performant is a government contractor and has specific client requirements.
- Must submit to and pass background check.
- Must not have any Federal or State liens resulting from County, State or Federal tax issues.
- Must not have any current defaulted student loans.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check; must not have any felony convictions or specific misdemeanors.
- Must submit to and pass drug screen.
- Certain client assignments for this position may require submission to and successful outcome of additional background and/or clearances throughout employment with the Company
