  • Job Summary:

    Provide support to all Memorial Medical Associates (MMA) physicians, administration, and clinical staff by assisting with development and implementation of standards of care.  Responsible for the ongoing training/education of clinical staff.  Implement MMA policies and procedures consistent with hospital policies and practices, as well as monitoring compliance with accrediting and regulatory bodies, and monitor/assess quality standards.

     

    Job Specifications: 

    Education:        RN required (with 3-5 yrs experience in ambulatory setting). Bachelor degree required in a health related field.  Progressive leadership/management experience.

     

    Job Knowledge:

    Understanding of day-to-day clinical operations in a physician practice including inventory control and efficient operations.           

     

    Job Responsibilities:

    1.         Direct and assist with implementation of standards of care.

    2.                  Develop education classes for clinical staff consistent with standards of care.

    3.                  Educate clinical staff, assess and validate clinical staff competency.

                4.         Implement the orientation program consistent with standards of care and practice management policies and procedures.

                5.         Educate staff and develop clinical policies, procedures and standardized forms.  Revise and update practice management manuals.

                6.         Review patient education materials as needed.

                7.         Assess practice compliance with Federal, State and practice management rules and regulations.

                8.         Implement and monitor Joint Commission Standards.

                9.         Audit of medical records of all MMA practices, report clinical quality and Joint Commission compliance.

                10.       Provide clinical support for practice management

                11.       Work closely with Risk Management to identify and help reduce high risk areas in the practice management setting.

                12.       Assess and evaluate with Practice Manager individual practice sites for areas of improvement regarding efficiency, quality control, and standardization.

                13.       Maintain knowledge of Joint Commission standards, regulatory standards, clinical evidence based care and best practices.

    14.       Assistance with determination of clinical quality and safety direction for MMA, measurement of clinical quality, and improvement in quality of care.  Involvement in full implementation of value based purchasing measures.

                15        Perform other duties as necessary.

    16.       Demonstrate job related aspects of patient safety to assure a safe environment, safe and effective use of equipment and technology, and decreased risk of potential adverse patient occurrences.

     

                17.       Demonstrates knowledge of and support of MHC mission, vision and value statements, standard policies, procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality statement, corporate compliance plan and code of ethical behavior.
