The Bermuda Hospitals Board strives to provide the highest quality health care through service excellence, education and leadership.  We seek qualified, highly motivated, and experienced professionals to work in a supportive but demanding environment.   With Bermuda’s 64,000 populations, successful applicants will be involved in all aspects of care for patients.  This includes both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities as well as liaising with overseas physicians for coordination of care.

CONSULTANT ONCOLOGIST: Qualifications &/ Registration required:

  • Board Certified Oncologist or Board Certified Haematological Oncologist
  • Current Specialist qualification as an Oncologist
  • A preference of 3 years post certification experience of which two should be within the hospital setting

    DIRECTOR OF HOSPITALISTS SERVICES: Qualifications &/ Registration required:

  • Board Certified in Internal Medicine.  Minimum of 5 years’ experience in hospital medicine
  • Successful completion of a management course preferred

    ENDOCRINOLGIST: Qualifications &/ Registration required:

  • Board Certified Endocrinologist or equivalent
  • 2-3 year experience in a program that focuses on metabolism, diabetes and endocrinology training in both inpatient and outpatient settings

    CHIEF OF EMERGENCY SERVICES & HYPERBARIC MEDICINE: Qualifications &/ Registration required:

  •  Board Certified in Emergency Medicine or equivalent
  •  Board Certified in Hyperbaric and Undersea Medicine
  •  At least 10 years practice experience in Emergency Medicine and 5-10 years management experience in Emergency Medicine

LOCUM CONSULTANT IN INFECTIOUS DISEASES & EPIDEMIOLOGY: Qualifications &/ Registration required:

  • Board Certified in Infectious Diseases with a preference of 3 years post certification experience, 2 of which in a hospital setting.  Must be comfortable managing general ID, HIV, and hepatitis cases in the inpatient and outpatient settings

    COMPENSATION: We have a competitive base salary and compensation towards relocation.   Full time positions have a comprehensive health plan, 30 days paid vacation leave per annum and 5 days paid study leave per annum and Malpractice coverage.
