FACULTY POSITION AVAILABLE

IN VISION SCIENCE

The Doheny Eye Institute and Department of Ophthalmology at the University of California, Los Angeles, David Geffen School of Medicine invite applications for an outstanding basic vision scientist at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, with salary and rank commensurate with credentials and experience. The candidate will join a dynamic community of vision scientists whose work spans understanding the basic science behind vision disorders to converting laboratory discoveries into treatments. Areas of interest for this recruitment include the following: expertise in machine learning and ophthalmic processing, gene editing and gene-based therapeutics, regenerative medicine, or big data and data mining. In addition, the candidate should be federally funded, or have submitted grant applications with a high probability of funding. The candidate should have demonstrated potential for outstanding academic contribution and an excellent teaching record.
