OPEN RANK, TERM TENURE-TRACK

The Department of Pathology at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston is recruiting a GI Pathologist with strong academic research ability to join the Section of GI Pathology. Special consideration will be given to candidates also holding Board certification in Cytopathology.

Board certification in Anatomic Pathology, special training in GI Pathology, and an active Texas medical license or eligibility are required. Candidates will be expected to participate in the routine sign out activities of a primarily oncologic array of specimens. For this tenure-track position, the candidate’s primary research responsibility will be to conduct an innovative, independently funded GI research program. Demonstrated ability to compete for extramural funding and a track record of successful independent research, including the supervision of postdoctoral fellows, graduate students and other trainees, is required. Startup funds and laboratory space will be provided to qualified candidates. Rank and salary will be commensurate with experience and academic credentials. We offer an excellent benefits package.
