The OEMS is seeking to hire an enthusiastic and personable team member to join us as the new Accreditation Program Manager. This position is intended to bring leadership and oversight to statewide training in support of our Accreditation program.

Responsibilities for the incumbent includes but not limited to the following: providing supervision to the wage examiner supervisors, provide technical and administrative guidance with regards to the accreditation program, perform site visits to accredited programs, EMT programs assuring compliance with training standards established by the rule and regulations. This position will also be responsible for but not limited to providing technical and administrative advice, guidance, coordination and support to designated regional EMS councils, EMS agencies, EMS personnel, Accreditation coordinators, and physician course directors. This is a telecommuting position which requires the incumbent perform work from home.


The minimum qualifications & KSAs are as follows:
-Up-to-date knowledge of emergency medical techniques at a pre-hospital level evidenced by field experience required.
-Understanding of educational accreditation processes.
-Ability to communicate orally and in writing with the public and with other allied health personnel.
-Ability to evaluate and analyze the instructional ability of instructors while being observed.
-Education Coordinator certification required.
-Possess knowledge of financial and budgetary practices.
-Possess knowledge of financial support mechanisms.
-Extensive travel (possibly overnight) is a requirement of this position. A state vehicle is assigned to the incumbent of this position. The vehicle will be equipped with emergency lights and sirens and therefore the incumbent will be required to successfully obtain an Emergency Vehicle Operators’ Course Certification. This needs to be completed within 6 months of being in the position.

Preferred Qualifications include:

-Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Education, Health Education, Health Sciences or a related discipline.
-Experience in education and adult learning is preferred.
-Experience serving in Emergency Medical Services or a related area of expertise is preferred.
-Master’s Degree in same disciplines is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Special Requirements:

Salary commensurate with education and experience. Employment is contingent upon satisfactory results of a background investigation including but not limited to a federal fingerprint-based criminal history check; Department of Social Services Child Abuse & Neglect Central Registry check, U.S. HHS IG Exclusion List check, eVerify Employment Eligibility check, and employment verification. A valid State Driver’s License is required to operate a state vehicle or if operating a personal vehicle while conducting business on behalf of the agency.
