Responsibilities: Provide a safe and supportive therapeutic environment for clients and staff. Collaborate effectively with team of clinicians, nurses and technicians in order to best assist clients with various behavioral problems including, substance abuse, eating disorders, mental instability and/or physical and emotional abuse. Report and document behavioral issues, verbal or physical altercations, concerns, and behavioral patterns you notice to supervision and clinical staff in a timely manner. Demonstrate flexibility to adapt to schedule changes and manage multiple tasks at one time as directed by supervisor and clinical staff. Provide supervision of self-administered medications and record client medications in the electronic medical record system. Complete intakes, perform body searches, and orientate new clients to the program and residential facility. Perform routine checks and vitals on clients to ensure the highest quality of health and safety at all times. Assist clients with activities of daily living and person. Facilitate regular drug screenings and room searches on clients as advised by supervision. Remain calm and collected in crisis situations and use descalation tactics
