Summary:

Serve as the Division Chief of an Allergy and Immunology program currently comprised of clinical, translational and basic science research programs, a vibrant fellowship program, along with an active clinical program that includes an asthma treatment center, an infusion center, and a clinical trials center.

Full description:

The Department of Medicine seeks a leader who will sustain and grow the clinical, research and educational programs within the Division of Allergy and Immunology and enhance synergies with the Divisions of Rheumatology, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, and Infectious Diseases, the Departments of Pediatrics, and Pathology and Immunology. The charge includes contined development of a combined Medicine/Pediatrics Allergy and Immunology Fellowship Training Program that currently has 3 first-year, 3 second-year fellows and 1-2 third-year fellows.

We are seeking candidates with a record as a respected scholar and productive investigator. The successful candidate will have access to considerable resources for promoting exceptional scholarship spanning model systems to outcomes research and nurturing the next generation of Allergy and Immunology specialists within a highly collaborative environment.

The candidate should be an MD, MD/PhD or PhD with experience in clinical, translational and/or basic science research programs that are relevant to Allergy and/or Immunology, and should qualify for appointment as a full Professor or Associate Professor on the Investigator Track at Washington University in St. Louis. Physician candidates should have primary training in an adult or pediatric specialty relevant to Allergy and Immunology, but are not required to have board-certification in Allergy and Immunology.
