POSITION SCOPE:  The Corporate Nurse Case Manager is responsible for overseeing the employee health portion of the Companys safety program by serving as a resource to employees and management on all matters related to employee health and safety.  The Corporate Nurse Case Manager also works closely with members of the Human Resources team to assist with employee leaves, return to work, and health-related safety training.  


 


KEY PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:

An employee of Parsec, Inc. in this job is expected to perform the following essential functions and duties, however, this list is not exhaustive, and the employee is required to perform any other duties assigned.  


Serve as resource to the Company leadership, corporate and field safety departments as an expert in and champion for employee health and safety;


Work individually with employees on work-related injuries to coordinate care through approved workers compensation providers and serve as liaison between the terminal management, workers compensation providers, insurance carriers/adjusters and defense attorneys on work-related claims; 


Implement the Companys interactive process for work-related and personal medical conditions including ensuring that reasonable accommodations, including leaves, are provided consistent with federal, state and local laws; 


Responsible for ongoing administration of the Companys Physical Abilities Testing, including establishing clinics for terminal startups, ensuring internal compliance with required testing, and monitoring performance of the PAT providers; 


Establish new and manage ongoing relationships with local Concentra or Occupational Health facilities for drug screening and occupational work injury treatment;


Work collaboratively and build strong relationships with terminal management, Risk Department, Safety Department and Human Resources Department;


Provide ongoing training and continuing education on employee health and safety, including but not limited to heat and cold tolerance, bloodborne pathogens, first aid, etc.; and


Other activities to assist achieving organization health and safety goals.


 


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  To be qualified for this position, one must possess:

Eighteen years of age or older; 

Possess valid Registered Nurse license;

Possess valid Certified Occupational Health Nurse or Certified Occupational Health Nurse Specialist preferred;

Associate degree in Nursing, BSN preferred;

Minimum of two years experience working as a Nurse in an occupational environment assisting employees with issues surrounding work-related and personal medical conditions, return to work, medications in a safety sensitive environment, the ADA interactive process, and medical certification; and

Documented successful completion of lawful post-offer, pre-employment checks including criminal background check and drug screening.
