A Department Assistant is a member of the laboratory staff who performs clerical, computer and secretarial duties in the laboratory office. They solve limited problems with the computer and communicate with the hospital staff, physician offices, nursing homes and patients.

A Phlebotomist performs venipunctures, gives patients instructions in order to properly collect non-blood specimens and performs non-technical and clerical functions related to specimen collection.

Education: High School or equivalent (GED)
Experience Required: Entry Level
Valid driver's license to operate a motor vehicle in the State of Wisconsin and/or Illinois based on job assignment location.
Two months of on-the-job training.

Shift: Days
Hours: 40-56
FTE: 0.5-0.6
Location: Kenosha Medical Center
