JOB SUMMARY:
Incumbent serves as unit Director of the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FAC) Program. Serves as a first level supervisor, providing planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over non-supervisory employees (including three Team Leaders) assigned to the FAC Unit.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 level of difficulty and responsibility in the Federal service as defined in the next paragraph. Specialized experience is experience at or equivalent to which is directly related to the position which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) to successfully perform the duties of the position to include experience planning, directing, and organizing the day to day operations of a unit and all activities and issues impacting federal and/or an organization advisory committee operations in accordance with applicable statutes, regulations and guidelines while meeting the needs of internal and external customers. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
