MAJOR NYC ACADEMIC TEACHING HOSPITAL SEEKS PEDIATRIC SURGEON

University Hospital of Brooklyn, a 376 bed tertiary acute care hospital which is the primary teaching institution for SUNY Downstate Medical School is actively recruiting for a Fellowship trained Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatric Surgeon to join the Division of Pediatric Surgery. Position offers an academic faculty appointment within the College of Medicine as an Assistant Professor of Surgery.

Located in Central Brooklyn, and geographically situated in close proximity to major cultural venues and variety of transportation options, the hospital along with its adjacent medical school campus serves a very large and socio-economic diverse patient population. The hospital has a close affiliation with Kings County Medical Center, and three other major New York City teaching hospitals. Full complement of pediatric sub-specialties which includes Neonatology, Gastroenterology, Hematology/Oncology, Endocrinology, Pulmonary, and Infectious disease.

The Division is supported by a large residency program with opportunities to actively engaged in teaching, training and research. Residents participate in operative cases, outpatient office visits and inpatient rounds.
