Senior Investigators at the School of Nursing will have opportunities to expand their substantive program of NIH-funded research through Rutgers’ 300-plus research centers and institutes. Teaching activities, as effort permits, will be focused on mentoring and educating our nursing PhD students.

Comprehensive Research Infrastructure. Senior Investigators can expect tremendous support from the School of Nursing’s research infrastructure. This includes in-house statisticians, editing services, a certified IRB navigator, expert research consultants, and pre-and post-award management and workshops.

Choice of Work Location. Competitive Benefits. Senior Investigators will have the choice of working in one of the School of Nursing’s three New Jersey locations: New Brunswick and Newark (both, a short train ride from New York City), and Blackwood, NJ (just outside of Philadelphia). Rank, tenure, and salary are competitive and based on experience and background.

Qualifications. Candidates must possess a research-focused doctoral degree in nursing or related field, an established program of NIH-funded research, and a substantial publication record in high-impact journals. Experience mentoring and/or teaching PhD students is preferred.
