Sr. Director, Healthcare Account Management

The Senior Director of Account Management is the lead role to ensure that Performant Healthcare clients are satisfied with Performants services and that they strongly perceive Performant to be their preferred vendor and even a trusted advisor.  To accomplish this, the Senior Director oversees the account management team, may personally manage strategic accounts and leads the development and execution of plans for client retention and growth.  This position has significant input to the development of revenue targets for each client and program and serves a lead role in developing new business opportunities with existing clients;  develops and deploys methods to measure and monitor client satisfaction and pursues building supportive relationships with strategic client decision makers.  In addition, the incumbent implements the tools and processes necessary to manage and professionally develop the account management team, such that each account manager is an excellent representation of Performant to our Healthcare clients.  

Essential Responsibilities
Pursue and develop positive, lasting relationships with strategic client decision makers and stakeholders.
Ensure regular client meetings are effective and informative for both the client and Performant.
Collaborate with sales, marketing, and service teams to ensure the client is served appropriately.
Oversee accurate and timely invoicing of clients.
Develop strategies to grow existing accounts and ensure quality and cost-effective services.
Gain a deep understanding of the clients needs and what they expect from our company.
Consult with clients to develop or improve processes that help ensure timely, efficient and cost effective delivery of our services.
Use outstanding communication skills to present to and influence key stakeholders in our company and with clients.
Maintain current awareness of industry trends, major events and significant changes.
Develop deep understanding of each clients business environment, culture, decision making and the motivations of reward targets for each clients strategic decision makers.
Analyze the client for the potential expansion of services or development of new business opportunities.
Collaborate on the development of revenue forecasting and operational program targets by client and program. 
Recruit and develop a team of Account Managers and oversee, satisfy and growth key accounts.
Establish processes for team communication, training of account managers, and employee development (i.e. standard operating procedures, regular direct and team meetings, development of staff growth plans, securing of required training, group communications and more).
Leads by example and performs duties adhering to all Company policies and procedures.
Travel as required to Performant office(s), client office(s), or other business/industry meetings. 
Other duties as assigned.


Required Skills and Knowledge:
A successful track record of managing strategic accounts and a team of account managers.
Possesses strong business acumen.
Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to communicate with all levels within the organization and external clients in a leadership capacity.

Demonstrated use of excellent judgement and ability to make sound decisions.

C-level interface and presentation skills.
Ability to leverage standard office systems and applications; Intermediate experience with MS Office products including MS PowerPoint; experience with SharePoint desired.

Physical requirements 
Performs duties in a busy standard office environment with moderate noise level. (or home-based Telework environment in accordance with Company policies and procedures).
Sits or stands at a desk, reaching as needed to use office equipment.
Makes and returns calls using an office phone system or company issued cellular phone.
Views a computer monitor, types on a keyboard and uses a mouse.
Reads and comprehends information in electronic (computer) or paper form (written/printed).
Types frequently, but not constantly, using a keyboard and mouse.
Occasionally lifts/carries/pushes/pulls up to 10 pounds.
Travel required
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in related business or industry or sufficient combination of relevant education and experience.
7+ years of relevant professional level client service or account management experience.
3+ years of experience leading and managing a team of account managers.
Relevant healthcare industry experience with data analytics, cost management or payment integrity vendor companies.

Other Requirements
Must submit to and pass pre-employment (and during employment) background check, including, but not limited to, criminal background checks; must not have any felony convictions or specific misdemeanors, nor on state/federal debarment lists.
Must submit to and pass drug screen pre-employment (and during employment).
Performant is a government contractor. Certain client assignments for this position may require additional background and/or clearances.
