JOB SUMMARY:
The Pathways Intern Program is designed to attract students in a wide variety of educational institutions (high school, home-school programs, vocational and technical, undergraduate and graduate) with paid opportunities to work in agencies and explore Federal careers while still in school. This program exposes students to jobs in the Federal civil service by providing meaningful developmental work at the beginning of their career, before their career paths are fully established.

DUTIES:
As a Student Trainee, you will: This position serves as a Student Trainee under the Pathways Program. This program is designed to provide work experience and formal education in the related field as it relates to the students' degree. The incumbent participates in a formal training program in support of the branch's mission in order to further the employee's development. Assignments are designed to provide on the job experience for a college student in the public health field

REQUIREMENTS:
U.S. Citizenship is required or proof of legal residency. Transcripts are required with the current enrollment period course load. Students must provide official transcripts if selected. A school acceptance letter is required for all high school graduates. Student participant agreement. Special Immunizations may be required for some positions. School enrollment form must show current semester registration. Temporary appointments may be extended through the Fall semester of 2021 without further competition. No further extension is granted past Fall 2021 academic period.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Must have a 2 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or master's or equivalent graduate degree.
Have a GPA of at least 2.95 or higher. Students who expect to graduate and are enrolled or accepted in a professional education program must provide documentation of continued enrollment. Applicants must have successfully completed 1 full academic year of graduate level education; or Eligibility under the Superior Academic Achievement Provision and completion of a bachelor's degree. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
