JOB SUMMARY:
The incumbent will serve as a Branch Chief with leadership and supervisory responsibilities related to the planning, managing, and evaluating of health programs.

'As a Supervisory Health Scientist you will: Promote and develop new initiatives for preventing or controlling disease, injury, and disability related to environmental health. Plan, develop, and implement a staff's policy and program objective. Evaluate the activities to determine which program areas are most productive, which are worthy of support in reaching goals, and which should be emphasized or curtailed. Develop projects and activities from program goals through the application of sound managerial and leadership concepts and practices, with a view toward enhancing the national impact of the organizations activities. Perform other duties as assigned.' ]

REQUIREMENTS:

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Basic Qualifications:
I have a Bachelor's or graduate/higher level degree: major study in an academic field related to the medical field, health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position. This degree must be from an educational program from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (https://ope.ed.gov/accreditation/) at the time the degree was obtained. Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 level of difficulty and responsibility in the Federal service as defined in the next paragraph. Specialized experience is experience at or equivalent to which is directly related to the position which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) to successfully perform the duties of the position that includes experience in program development, planning, and evaluation of policies for preventing or controlling disease, injury and/or disability.
